National Coming Out Day 2007

Every fall semester, in the second week of October, Bucknell, along with colleges across the country, celebrates National Coming Out Day.

For the past seven years, Friends of Lesbians and Gays & Bisexual and Transgender (FLAG&BT) and The Office of LGBT Awareness has compiled a list of Bucknell faculty, administrators, and staff who pledge to provide an open mind and a supportive atmosphere for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender) students.

This year, FLAG&BT and The Office of LGBT Awareness compiled the first student support list with almost half the student population pledging to provide an open mind and supportive atmosphere for LGBT students.

These lists are known as the Bucknell National Coming Out Day Support Lists and are published in The Bucknellian once a year.
