Introduction to the Collection

The Multicultural Masks Collection, a collection of over 250 images, contains images of theatrical and ritual masks from around the world. The collection contains over 100 masks from Africa, 35 from Latin America, 30 from Oceania, and nearly 100 from other regions.

The collection contains images licensed from various vendors and are licensed specifically for educational use including classroom projection or student research. Images may not be used in publications without written consent from the image owner. Please contact ISR's Digital Initiatives Group (dig@bucknell.edu) with questions.

Viewing Tools

The collection is viewable within Luna Imaging Inc.'s Insight software. The collection is restricted to members of the Bucknell community.

Metadata Schema

The metadata schema was loosely based on VRA Core 3.0.

For off-campus users with a Bucknell ID, click here and log into the collection. Select "Multicultural Masks" from the list of available collections.
