Writing Center Mission

Established to support Bucknell's Writing Across the Curriculum Program, the Writing Center encourages writing as a process of creating and communicating knowledge and seeks to generate active learning, primarily by facilitating talk among thoughtful and supportive fellow writers.

In short, we aim to strengthen and support a culture of writing at Bucknell. To that end, we are pleased to present the perspectives of a variety of Bucknell writers in a blog called Bucknell Writes.

The Writing Center offers individual consultation on writing, as well as workshops on writing, the teaching of writing, and related issues in communication, for all members of the Bucknell community— students, faculty, and staff — as well as support for faculty in course development and teaching practices.
