Dependent Life Insurance

The University is making life insurance available to your eligible dependents.  Unlike employee optional group life insurance, there are only 2 coverage options.  The rate for each option remains the same, regardless of the number of dependents covered.

Benefit Levels:

Option 1:  $25,000 spouse/equivalent and/or $5,000 child(ren) coverage

Option 2:  $50,000 spouse/equivalent and/or $10,000 child(ren) coverage

Spouse coverage is guarantee issue to $25,000.  Spousal Medical Insurability is required for elections of $50,000.

Covers dependent children to age 19, age 23 if enrolled as a full-time student.

Rates: 

Option 1:  $6.00 per month.   

Option 2:  $12.00 per month.
