Spring Annual Arts Weekend

The Association for the Arts invites you back to campus to celebrate the Arts at Bucknell as well as to honor Professor Robert Gainer for 23 years of service to Bucknell and the arts. Bucknell and Lewisburg have an art-filled weekend planned for art lovers of all ages and genres to enjoy.

The Annual Student Art Show debuts in the Samek Art Gallery on Thursday, April 24 from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and will be on display through the weekend. The Annual Student Show provides Bucknell students, the university community and regional audience an opportunity to view student works created in drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture courses, and work created independently. A broad range of work by undergraduates from introductory to Capstone classes, and studio graduate assistants will be on view.
Spring Dance Performance on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the Weis Center Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Campus Box Office at 570-577-1000, Monday-Friday 11:00am-5:00pm or going to www.bucknell.edu/boxoffice
Lewisburg Arts Market Street Festival on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 – 5:00 p.m. enjoy a stroll through downtown Lewisburg filled with art, entertainment, and food all along Market Street.
Rooke Chapel Ringers on Saturday, April 26thfrom 8:00 – 9:30 p.m. in Rooke Chapel
First Year Student Recital, Nicholas Horner, a jazz vocalist will perform. Be the first to discover future Bucknellian talent in the Sigfried Weis Music Building, Recital Hall on Sunday, April 27 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
On Sunday, April 27 from 9 a.m.-12 noon the Association for the Arts holds its semi-annual meeting in the Refectory, Elaine Langone Center. Everyone interested in the arts at Bucknell are welcome!
