LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell University will host a faculty recital on Friday, April 4, at 8 p.m. in the Rooke Recital Hall of the Weis Music Building.
The recital is free to the public.
Cellist Andrew Rammon and pianist Holly Roadfeldt-O'Riordan will perform works by Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann.
Original compostion
Included in the program is the work, "Dying Light," composed in 2004 by Bucknell faculty member Kirk O'Riordan for Rammon and Roadfeldt-O'Riordan.
The work takes its title from Dylan Thomas's famous poem, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night," and expresses the gamut of emotions found in the poem.
Rammon, who holds teaching positions at Bucknell, Mansfield, and Susquehanna universities, is principal cellist of the Williamsport Symphony orchestra and a member of the Grammy-nominated Eaken Piano Trio.
Roadfeldt-O'Riordan is assistant professor of piano at Susquehanna University.
