"The Languages and Cultures Residential College has really enhanced my first year experience. It is a great way to meet people with similar interests and form a tight knit bond with them. Being a science major, Languages and Cultures has allowed me to follow my medical dreams while still being involved in another passion of mine - exploring new cultures and meeting new people. Regardless if you speak another language, this Residential College is a great opportunity to go on exciting trips, participate in activities, and most of all have fun!"

"Being in a res. college was one of the best decisions I have ever made. As an incoming student, Bucknell is full of possibility and opportunity, a new student encounters an array of new interests, organizations, and people. The Language and Cultures res. college was definitely an organization to pursue; the classes were extremely interesting and I was able to connect with people who were interested and had a passion for the same subjects I did, but who also had very different views from myself. The Language and Cultures res. college is very diverse and many intriguing students are part of the college; it's an amazing experience that I will always be thankful for having."

"Being bilingual and coming from the country of former Yugoslavia, the concept of diversity was something very familiar to me. My languages and cultures experience strengthened my desire to learn more about other people, and it has made my first year at Bucknell more enjoyable and also eye-opening. To get the full college experience, one must surround himself with new individuals, who have new thoughts and ways of approaching life. I am someone who believes in being a citizen of the world and someone who wishes to travel, meet numerous interesting people and hear their stories."
