Being in a Residential College definitely eased my transition to college. I had an instant group of friends who shared a common interest with me, and I cannot wait to share my next four years with them. I could not be happier with my decision to join a Residential College, and I am excited to be a part of it again in the 2013-2014 school year!"

"I consider myself lucky to have been a part of the Languages and Cultures Res College in my freshman year. My foundation seminar alone has changed the way I interpret people's syntax and behavior within and across cultures. What I consider to be rude remarks may be viewed as polite gestures in another culture. Even in everyday conversation, word choices can reveal a lot about a person's cultural background. I have absolutely no regrets about joining the Res College program - the most rewarding part was being housed with my fellow classmates whom I now call my friends."

As a part of the Languages & Cultures College my freshman year, I explored different countries and cultures with people who shared the same interests. Riding bikes to an Amish farm and tasting foods of a Diwali Festival gave me the chance to learn about traditions and customs of various cultures.
