Bison fight hard, but lose in NCAA first round
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell's Lady Bison, making their second NCAA appearance in school history, fought hard but went down to defeat at the hands of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, 85-50, Sunday afternoon.
Seeded No. 16, Bucknell was playing against the top seed Tar Heels in Norfolk, Va.
The Tar Heels, ranked No. 2 nationally in both major polls, had five players score in double figures to begin its quest for a third straight Final Four appearance.
