Bucknell to test emergency notification system

LEWISBURG, Pa.Bucknell University will conduct a test of its comprehensive emergency notification system at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday, March 31.

The test will include messages broadcast over a new campus-wide public address speaker system and messages sent to text, e-mail, and phone contacts listed by students, faculty, and staff.

The test text will say, "TEST. This is a test of Bucknell’s Emergency Notification System. If this was an ALERT more information would follow. This is only a TEST."

During the drills, members of the campus community will be asked to respond to the notifications through phone or e-mail. Instructions for responding will be included in the original messages.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to log into myBucknell to add or update emergency contact information.
