Chelsea Clinton to visit Bucknell Thursday
LEWISBURG -- Joining a growing list of presidential campaign representatives visiting
Chelsea Clinton will talk about Senator Clinton's campaign and answer questions afterward. The event, which is sponsored by Bucknell's College Democrats, will be free and open to the public; seating will be first-come, first-served.
The site will be announced Wednesday afternoon.
Bucknell has already been visited by campaign representatives for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. In March, actors Dulé Hill and Zachary Quinto held a question-and-answer session on Obama's campaign in Trout Auditorium.
This Saturday, April 5, the lead singer for rock group Third Eye Blind, Stephan Jenkins, is scheduled to talk about Obama at 4 p.m., also in Trout. The Obama events have been sponsored by College Democrats and Students for Barack Obama.
In February, Bucknell President Brian C. Mitchell invited all of the presidential candidates from all parties to speak at the University. Bucknell does not endorse any candidate or party but encourages engagement in the democratic process and critical thinking and analysis of the candidates and the issues.
