Why major in CS?

Computer science is a field that offers many possibilities and opportunities since it's applicable to a variety of other disciplines, such as biology, communications, finance, art... the list goes on and on. It's a cool and relevant subject to learn about and understand since technology is such a major part of our society.

How did you select your degree program in CS?

I actually arrived at Bucknell as an undecided Arts & Sciences student. When I was selecting freshman courses, though, I decided that I wanted to look into engineering, so I took ENGR 100 in the fall and CSCI 203 in the spring. I enjoyed the classes and switched into the CSE program the summer after my freshman year.

What do you like most about Bucknell?

Bucknell provides students with many academic and non-academic opportunities, what is great. For those who are undecided, there are many majors to choose from. For those who have chosen a major and want to explore it further, there are research opportunities. For those who want to get involved on campus, there are tons of clubs and activities.
