    • Editorial: B.U. Olympics: nice idea, poor execution

      The B.U. Olympics, previously Greek Week, were designed to unite students who participate in Greek life with those who do not. After an extended deadline for team sign ups, turnout at events still remained low, even resulting in the cancellation of the volleyball tournament. Part of the idea was to mix Greeks and non-Greeks on teams, but as it turned out there were teams that were composed of a single fraternity or sorority.

    • Bucknell’s diversity must change from the inside

      The University is making a concentrated effort to put a spotlight on this issue and is striving to make our campus more “diverse.” Let’s consider what diversity actually brings to a campus. True, diversity creates an atmosphere filled with people from all walks of life. It brings different perspectives and forces students to learn to work with different types of people. That does not necessarily link to different races, which I think is highly confused on this campus.

    • To play or not to play: Beijing Olympics

      As protests broke out in Tibet, the Chinese government reacted immediately. Tourists and journalists were ordered to leave the province, and all throughout China, journalists—who were already being watched closely—report that they are being controlled and constrained in their work even more intensely than before.
