What have you been doing with your CS degree?
I work in Wall Street, in the investment-banking world, more specifically at Goldman Sachs. There are many ways in which Computer Science can be applied in the finance world, from complex algorithms to process information to something as simple as managing a database of the clients who are the shareholders of a certain company. Everything applies!
What was particularly good for you in studying CS at Bucknell?
The close attention you received from each and everyone in the faculty, regardless if they were your direct teachers for that semester or not. Everybody was willing to help, equally, on any CS subject, it truly felt like a family. Years after I graduated, it still feels the same way.
Why did you choose Bucknell?
Because it is considered to be in the Top 10 undergraduate engineering schools in the country.
Advice for incoming students
Never stop learning! It is only after graduation that your life as a student truly begins. At work your will have many mentors to learn from, life itself will be one of them. So don’t think that once you receive that diploma you can close the “learning chapter” of your life. Your career in CS @ Bucknell will just be the prologue.
