Bison edged by Tulane 4-1 in NCAA Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Bucknell baseball team saw its seven game winning streak come to an end on Saturday night, falling 4-1 to Tulane on the second day of NCAA Regional action at Dick Howser Stadium.

The Bison (30-23-2) will now face host Florida State in an elimination game Sunday, June 1, with first pitch slated for 1:07 p.m. In the first meeting between the squads to open the tournament, the Bison upset the No. 2-ranked Seminoles, 7-0.

Not only did the Bison have their stretch of seven consecutive victories halted tonight, but also had a streak of six straight contests with at least 10 hits stopped by the Green Wave, who move to 39-20-1 on the season.
