Abe FeuersteinAbe Feuerstein came to Bucknell in 1996 after completing his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Virginia. As a member of the Education Department he coordinated the Educational Administration Program, supervised student teachers in local school districts, and taught courses in school politics, school finance, and social foundations of education. In 2008, after serving as chair of the Education Department for six years, he began working as an Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Abe works with a variety of committees including the Committee on Instruction (COI), Committee for Library and Information Resources (CLIR), and also serves as Chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB).

His scholarly interests include K-12 school governance, superintendent/school board relations, and school reform. He has published in journals such as Educational Administration Quarterly, the Journal of School Leadership, and the American School Board Journal.
