Residence Halls:

Bucknell Operating Hours:
All current students, faculty and staff may enter any residence hall

  • Includes most Special Interest houses
  • Does not include fraternity houses

24/7:
Only residents of the residence hall may enter the building. If you want to visit someone in the building, then arrange for them to open the door for you.

Library Card:

Your BU ID card allows you to check out materials from the library.

Dining:

Your BU ID card is required to dine at all campus dining facilities. In each case, when your present your card to the cashier, the card will be swiped and your meal account debited.

Laundry (now available)

You can now use your BU ID card to pay for laundry in all campus laundry rooms. The coinless laundry system uses a new prepaid flexible spending account called Campus Dollars. For more information Campus Dollars, please go to http://www.bucknell.edu/x47509.xml.

Copier Access

Many copiers on campus are equipped with card readers that will accept the BU ID card. In order to use your BU ID card to vend copies, you must add value to it at one of the two machines located in the second floor copier room of Bertrand Llibrary or the second floor lobby of the Langone Center. The vendors will accept $1, $5, $10 or $20 bills. They do not give change, so the value of the denomination you insert will all be added to your card in its entirety. Each time a copy is made, .10 cents is debited from the value remaining on your card.
