Report a lost, damaged, or stolen BU ID card immediately to the Card Services Office (570-577-1953), or the Department of Public Safety (570-577-3333) to prevent unauthorized use of the card. Once you contact either office, your BU ID account will be frozen immediately. To replace your BU ID, stop by the Card Services Office during business hours. There is a $50 card replacement fee. After business hours or on weekends, Public Safety can issue a temporary identification card with access to your residence hall only.

You must stop by the Card Services Office to replace your card. The Department of Public Safety cannot issue you a new card. You must return your temporary card in order to receive your new card. Failure to do so will result in an additional fee of $50.

Your temporary id card will not:

• Have your picture
• Contain any special permissions you may have to enter other areas
• Allow you to check out books at the library
• Be able to used at any dining facilities (you will be required to fill out a charge slip)
