The Bucknell Orchestra Concerto Concert

The 2009 Concerto Concert features soloists from the class of 2010 Patti O'Sullivan, flute, Nathan Sloyer, trumpet, and John Trimmer, cello. Works to be performed include Dvorak's Slavonic Dance in G Minor, a Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra by Elgar, Griffes' Poem for Flute and Orchestra, and Hummel's Concerto in Eb for Trumpet and Orchestra.

Gallery Series: Samir Chatterjee, tabla
Virtuoso Indian tabla player Samir Chatterjee will appear in a duet concert with Sanghamitra Chatterjee on harmonium and vocals. He travels widely across the world throughout the year performing in numerous festivals as a soloist or with other outstanding musicians from both Indian and western musical traditions. Samir performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, Norway on December 10th, 2007. His compositions are widely acclaimed as well as his writings.
