Sheila Lintott is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Bucknell University.  She earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in 2002.  Professor Lintott's teaching and research interests concern issues in aesthetics, the philosophy of art, ethics, and applied ethics. She is especially interested in issues in environmental and feminist philosophy and at their intersections.  She has published articles in Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy; Environmental Ethics; Ethics, Place, and Environment; The Journal of Aesthetic Education; and The British Journal of Aesthetics, as well as a number of book chapters.  She recently edited a volume on nature aesthetics with Allen Carlson, Nature, Aesthetics, and Environmentalism: From Beauty to Duty, which was published with Columbia University Press.  She is presently working on several articles on Maternal Aesthetics and on an edited volume on Motherhood and Philosophy for Wiley-Blackwell’s Philosophy for Everyone Series.  She regularly teaches Philosophy and Film, Philosophy of Art, and Topics in Aesthetics.
