Membership of the Bucknell Gamelan Ensemble is diverse and open to the entire Bucknell community, including students, faculty, and staff. New members are always welcome and interested individuals should contact Dr. Bethany Collier.

The Bucknell Gamelan is a slendro-tuned ensemble with instrumentation allowing for the performance of soran pieces (loud-style repertoire). The ensemble is willing to perform both traditional and new works; in fact, at its most recent performance in December, it played composition major Christina Butera's piece for the Javanese slendro and Balinese gender wayang, suling, and kendang entitled Pindah.
