The PASBDC Technology Commercialization Assistance services equip entrepreneurs and small businesses with the skills needed to develop a corporate strategy and help bring technologies to market. Technology consultants provide assistance to entrepreneurs looking to develop and commercialize new technologies.
Entrepreneurs who have an existing technology that they are seeking to commercialize can receive assistance at any of the offices of the PASBDC 18-center network. SBDC technology consultants assist technology firms with business management issues specific to their needs including:
- Alternative financing
- Patents and trademarking
- Intellectual property
- Product commercialization and marketing
- Subcontracting with large corporations
The SBDCs also offer assistance to struggling US Department of Defense contractors affected by base closure and reduction, helping them to locate markets outside of the Department of Defense.
