Commencement

The night before commencement, graduates gather on the Academic Quad for the candle-lighting ceremony similar to the one in which they participated as first-year students. Following the ceremony, they gather for an evening of dancing and socializing. The next day, graduates process through the Christy Mathewson Memorial Gate. They march in the opposite direction that they processed on their first night at Bucknell, marking the end of their student experience and the beginning of their role as alumni. The graduates process from the gateway to the Academic Quad for the commencement ceremony.
