January Workshop

Each January the Writing Program and Writing Center, with co-sponsorship from the Teaching and Learning Center, invite a nationally-known presenter or presenters to lead an interactive faculty-development workshop addressing issues pertaining to writing across the curriculum at Bucknell.

The January, 2010 workshop will feature Katherine K. Gottschalk and Keith  Hjortshoj of Cornell University's John S. Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines, authors of The Elements of Teaching Writing: A Resource for Instructors in All Disciplines (Bedford/St. Martin's, 2004).

Katherine Gottschalk is the Walter C. Teagle Director of First-Year Writing Seminars at Cornell, and Keith Hjortshoj is the John S. Knight Director of Writing in the Majors. Together, these facilitators will address commonalities and central differences between first-year and more advanced writing courses. Times and dates will be announced soon.
