Class of 2009 senior field trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
In September of 2008, the class of 2009 went on a three day educational field trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Accompanied by three professors from the department (Professor Gabauer, Professor Toole, and Professor Wang), the trip included visits to many construction sites that involved various civil and environmental engineering subdisciplines. Such areas included environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources engineering. The students were able to gain valuable field experience and also spend some quality time away from the classroom. It was a great learning experience for the students as well as the professors.
