Student Health Insurance
Office of the General Counsel
All full-time undergraduate students (taking 3 or more classes) attending Bucknell University must enroll in or waive out of the health insurance coverage offered through the University. All students, providing verifiable proof of comparable coverage, may waive the purchase of the sponsored plan.
A charge of $1,752.00 has been applied to your student account for the cost of insurance including administrative fees. If a student does not provide the necessary proof, they will be automatically enrolled in the plan offered by the University. Any waivers requested after 9/28/11 will incur a financial penalty of no less than $96.00 and may not be accepted.
International Students
Bucknell University requires all international students to purchase the University-sponsored medical insurance program. This amount will be automatically charged to your Bucknell University student account and you will be automatically enrolled in the school sponsored health insurance. There is coverage available for dependent spouses and children that can be purchased through the school-sponsored plan, at your cost.
