Swine flu information update - May 1, 2009
Posted: May 01, 2009
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:
As Bucknell continues to monitor the outbreak of swine flu and its possible impact in our area, the University has set up a web page with information that may be useful to the campus community. We will use this site to share updated information related to swine flu. Any urgent announcements will be sent directly via e-mail, and other communications outlets if the nature of the information necessitates it, to students, faculty and staff.
This new web page may be accessed through a link on the Bucknell homepage or by going directly to www.bucknell.edu/swineflu.
It is important to stress that at this time we know of no cases of swine flu at Bucknell or in the surrounding community and are simply setting up this web page as a point of information. University officials, including the appropriate health officials, continue to meet on a regular basis to monitor the situation and to make sure Bucknell puts to best use recommendations for university communities that are provided by the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.
We encourage you to review the information on this web page.
Sincerely,
Pete Mackey, Ph.D.
Vice President for Communications
