By the end of their senior year, majors in Women's and Gender Studies will be able to:

Read, understand, and evaluate feminist theories and scholarship; engage in critical debates; and apply feminist perspectives across disciplines. (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9)

Identify, compare, and evaluate culturally and historically specific constructions of gender. (3, 4, 5, 9)

Analyze the intersections of gender with race, ethnicity, class, gender identity, sexuality, nationality, religion, geography and age. (3, 4, 5, 9)

Employ analytically the concepts of privilege and oppression. (3, 4, 5, 6, 9)

Write and speak effectively from feminist perspectives in different communication contexts in order to analyze academic and social issues. (4, 5, 6, 7, 9)
