Gift Materials Policy

Gifts may be considered for addition to the collection when they support the curriculum or add needed strength to the collection. We will accept items for consideration, and donors must be advised that this does not mean that the items will be automatically added to the collection.

The appropriate subject librarian will decide if the item should be added. Items added should not only support the curriculum but should also be in good physical condition and should generally contain current information. In accordance with Library & Information Technology regulations the library does not evaluate gifts for tax purposes. If you have questions, please contact the Reference Desk, or 570.577.1462.

Please do not bring gift materials unannounced. Please contact the library via email or call during business hours to discuss potential donations. After speaking to our gift coordinator, materials may be dropped off at the library, or sent to:
