LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Bucknell University Small Business Development Center will host the seminar, "Is a Franchise Right for You?" on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at the SBDC Business Education Center, 207 Chamberlin Building, Fifth and Market streets in Lewisburg.
Consultant Lou Lavetan will lead the seminar. For 11 years, Lavetan was an area development manager with Mail Boxes Etc., now known as The UPS Store. He owned and managed his own location and laid the foundation for 23 additional stores in his area.
As manager, he assisted prospective owners with the franchise validation and investigation process and trained store owners in the MBE system.
Lavetan later became partner in a maid service franchise and business development director for a dry cleaning delivery service franchisor on the East Coast before becoming a consultant in 2004.
