Wendy Pangburn '78 is a seasoned executive with unparalleled experience creating and implementing executive programs for a variety of corporate, political, and nonprofit clients. Her leadership and expertise in nonprofit and association management, executive recruiting, continuing education, travel /special event management, membership development and grassroots fundraising has benefited a host of high profile individuals and organizations.

Today, Wendy serves as a consultant to a number of corporate and nonprofit entities through her firm, Pangburn Partners LLC.

As a former Partner in the Washington, DC office of Heidrick & Struggles, Wendy led the firm's executive recruiting efforts in the nonprofit and association arena in the nation's capital. With almost three decades of professional experience, Wendy worked with her client base to recruit for many of the positions that she held at one time during her career.

Through her own experience and contact base, she was able to bring a unique perspective and problem solving skills to such prominent national and international nonprofits such as: American Red Cross, HealthStore Foundation, Safe Kids Worldwide, American Diabetes Association, Rebuilding Together, American Lung Association, United Nations Association, Managed Funds Association, Property Casualty Insurers of America, Urban Land Institute, and Conservation International. An active leader in the trade association arena and a strong proponent of continuing education, Wendy earned her CAE (Certified Association Executive) through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Wendy served for over a decade as Executive Director of the Chief Executives Organization, Inc. (CEO), a nonprofit international group of 2,000 chief executive officers and former leaders of the Young President's Organization (YPO) whose mission is to improve executive leadership effectiveness through continuing education and idea exchange. During her ten year tenure, she worked in over 40 countries.

Prior to CEO, Wendy was Principal of Pangburn and Associates, where she was one of Washington, DC's leading special events and fundraising experts.

Wendy has managed numerous annual fundraising and award recognition programs for nonprofit organizations such as the Smithsonian's American Art Museum (SAAM) and the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. She also has Capitol Hill experience, has raised funds for many national and statewide campaigns and national party organizations, and has traveled around the globe supporting the Office of White House Presidential Advance.

Wendy earned Bachelor degrees in Economics and Art from Bucknell University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.
