National Coming Out Day
Every fall semester, in the second week of October, Bucknell, along with colleges across the country, celebrates National Coming Out Day.
Friday, October 11th is National Coming Out Day and will be celebrated on college campuses and at other events around the country. This year the Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, and Queer Resources and the Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will be publishing the 7th annual list of Bucknell students and 13th annual list of Bucknell administrators, faculty, and staff who are willing to be identified as supporters of an individual's right to be him/her/hirself.
For the past several years, Friends of Lesbians and Gays & Bisexual and Transgender (FLAG&BT) and The Office of LGBTQ Resources has compiled a list of Bucknell faculty, administrators, and staff who pledge to provide a supportive atmosphere for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) students.
These lists are known as the Bucknell National Coming Out Day Support Lists and are published in the Bucknellian once a year.
