National Coming Out Day
Every fall semester, in the second week of October, Bucknell, along with colleges across the country, celebrates National Coming Out Day.
For the past ten years, Friends of Lesbians and Gays & Bisexual and Transgender (FLAG&BT) and The Office of LGBT Awareness has compiled a list of Bucknell faculty, administrators, and staff who pledge to provide a supportive atmosphere for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) students.
This year, FLAG&BT and The Office of LGBT Awareness compiled the fourth student support list with over half the student population pledging to also provide a supportive atmosphere.
These lists are known as the Bucknell National Coming Out Day Support Lists and are published in the Bucknellian once a year.
