Randy Roberts Potts Lecture

Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30, Trout Auditorium
Living under the shadow of his grandfather, Oral Roberts, Randy grew up on the family compound and spent the majority of his childhood and adult life closeted. Having watched his Uncle Ronnie struggle with his own sexuality, eventually taking his life after coming out to his father, Oral Roberts, Randy endeavored to not follow in his footsteps. Spreading a message of acceptance, faith, hope and love, Randy has become of driving force in the LGBT Community, having recorded a video for the famed "It Gets Better," project, and participating in the publishing of their most recent book, a compilation of coming out success stories. He will also soon be actively touring the country, staring in his new performance art piece, "The Gay Agenda." Randy's mission is simple: spread hope to LGBT youth, while hopefully enlightening the evangelical and conservative communities in the process.
Speaking for the annual Chi Phi Biff Hoffman Lectureship, this lecture is sponsored by: The Office of LGBT Awareness, Bucknell Protestant Ministries, Dean of Students Office, IFC, Panhellenic, FLAG&BT, Multicultural Student Services, and The Brothers of Chi Phi Fraternity.
