Professor Ana Patiño specializes in 20th century Latin American narrative, and teaches a course on Spanish-American civilization, as well as an advanced course in the short story. Her research interests include the Latin American avant-garde, recent Andean narrative and relations among Latin America, Europe and the United States. She has a Ph.D. from the University of California at Riverside.
