Women's History Month

It began in 1987 when the National Women's History Project petitioned Congress to declare a month in which women could be remembered and recognized for their accomplishments. From the time of national approval, schools, workplaces, and communities have expanded their information and program ideas to recognize women's history. The education of women's history has become much more prominent, and universities and workplaces engage in a number of activities to recognize the impact women have made throughout time.
