John F. Zeller Award

Purpose

Named in honor of John F. Zeller, former Vice President for Business and Fiscal Affairs and General Counsel Emeritus, the Zeller Award recognizes a member of the support staff who demonstrates consistent excellence in the conduct of his or her responsibilities. Recipients of this award exemplify the outstanding contributions made by many support staff over the course of their careers at Bucknell.

Eligibility

Any full time and part time support staff member with at least two years of service to the University are eligible for award consideration. Staff members who have previously won the award are not eligible. Staff members who have previously been nominated, but did not win the award, can have their name resubmitted for consideration in the following year.

Nomination Process

Nominations are accepted online via myBucknell. Nominations will be reviewed initially by the Support Staff Personnel Committee (SSPC). Please note that only completed nomination forms are accepted; emails of support for a nomination will no longer be forwarded to the committee for consideration. The Operations and Management Group will make the final selection from a slate of recommendations put forward by the SSPC.

Award Criteria

The Zeller Award honors those that have demonstrated consistent excellence in both their exceptional contributions to Bucknell and their professionalism in working with others in their day to day work. The Bucknell core competencies serve as the foundation for the award criteria. Each nomination should include specific examples of how the nominee has consistently demonstrated two or more of the core competencies in their role at Bucknell.
