LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Samek Art Gallery at Bucknell University will present the annual student art show April 16 to May 4.
"The culminating art exhibition of the academic year is the Annual Student Show. This is always a wonderful exhibition, and one that Art and Art History faculty and their students have been working towards for some time," said Dan Mills, director of the Samek Art Gallery.
"For Bucknell students, the University community and regional audience, it is a terrific opportunity to view the fine work of Bucknell students," he said.
Variety of art works
Created by art majors and graduate student assistants, the artwork in the exhibition features advanced student projects and many selections from courses in painting, printmaking, graphic design, sculpture, photography, video and installation.
"The inspiring work by studio graduate assistants Sarah Knouse, Sarah McFalls, Amanda Kline and Justin Sorensen gives undergraduate students a chance to see developing young professionals prepare for a career in the arts," said Cynthia Peltier, operations manager of the Samek Art Gallery.
The Samek Art Gallery is located on the third floor of the Elaine Langone Center. Admission is free. Gallery hours during the academic year are weekdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekends 1 to 5 p.m., and by appointment.
