Softball earns NCAA bid with league title

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell softball earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Patriot League Championship Saturday.
The third-seeded Bison defeated Colgate with a pair of comeback victories to win their second league title in program history.
Bucknell softball will head to Columbus, Ohio, in its first ever NCAA Regional appearance to face No. 11 California in the first game of the double-elimination tournament at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 21, with Ohio State and Kentucky joining them in their section of the bracket.
