LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell University's Class of 2014 won't report to campus for new student orientation until Friday, Aug. 20, but the students are already making a mark in many ways.

In this feature, which will run on occasion through the summer, we'll introduce you to a handful of the more than 900 first-year students as their hometown newspapers and media outlets publish stories about them and their accomplishments.

The newest Bucknellians were selected from 7,178 applicants representing 48 states and the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam, and 87 countries. || Class of 2014 welcome page
