    The late Robert L. Rooke, a member of the Class of 1913 and former trustee, and his descendants have a long history of supporting Bucknell. Most recently, his son Robert C. Rooke, longtime donor and trustee emeritus, provided significant funding toward Academic West.     Aliyah Johnson '14 thrives on challenge. The president of her class at Baltimore's prestigious Western High School, she belonged to the dance team, the volleyball team and the National Honor Society. She applied to several colleges and was accepted by all of them, but she needed more financial aid than the scholarships they offered her.

As one who appreciates the beauty and power of numbers, he has created a new merit scholarship for first-year math students to help Bucknell recruit the country's top talent in the field.
