and academic success"

Lowery House

PLEASE NOTE: We do not counsel students via e-mail and cannot guarantee the confidentiality of e-mail communications with our office.

The office of Psychological Services would like to extend heartfelt
sympathy to the Northern Illinois University community following the recent tragedy on that campus. We are aware that such an event can evoke distressing thoughts and feelings even when we are not directly involved - and that this is especially true for individuals who have previously experienced a traumatic event in thier own lives. Psychological Services would like to remind the members of our own community that we are available to provide Bucknellians with support. Please also see our "Links" page (left) - and especially the section titled "Dealing with Traumatic Events".

In an emergency, do not use e-mail to contact Psychological Services - call 577-1604 (x71604) or walk in during regular working hours.

Interested in Mental Health? Interested in Psychology? Want to get involved? Check out Active Minds on Campus on our "Groups and Programs" page.

Psychological Services offers a wide range of services to help make your college years more satisfying, rewarding, and productive. Our programs are designed to help students grow in self-understanding, to help them use their intellectual and emotional resources as effectively as possible, and to provide a supportive "safety net" at those times when they encounter difficult or painful life circumstances.
