Local farms within a 30-mile radius of Bucknell that are most consistent with the ideals of organic and sustainable farming, grouped into five different food categories:
Produce
Tewksbury Grace Farm is located in Muncy. It is a sustainable farm and successful CSA that specializes in heirloom vegetables, herbs, and Shiitake mushroom. Refraining from mechanical equipment and chemical stimulants, this farm focuses on cultivating the land in a manner that is conducive to rich, healthy soils and natural, nutritious products.

Dreamcatcher Farm is both an operating farm and CSA. It produces livestock and produce for the local community. Farming practices allow for microbial activity in the soil, and livestock is allowed outdoors to roam.

Mystic Spring Farms is a small-scale farm that specializes in vegetables, herbs and produce. The farm also offers CSA membership and sells produce to local farmers' markets and restaurants to promote healthier and more sustainable food consumption.

Byers' Blueberry Farm specializes in producing unsprayed high-bush blueberries in the spring and offers blueberry picking. The business also operates as a "farm market," producing quality in-season fruits and vegetables including cherries, corn, plums and peppers.

Meat
Cow-A-Hen Farm specializes in meadow raised suckled veal, grass-fed beef, pastured roasting chickens, pastured pork, meadow raised turkeys and free- roaming hens' eggs. Dedicated to providing healthy and nutritious food for local citizens, the farm pursues sustainable measures in harvesting by using herbivores, rather than herbicides, to enhance the soil.

Beaver Run Farm specializes in Berkshire sired pork, Cornish hens, fryers, chickens, and roasters. The business maintains sustainable farming practices and humanely raises its animals without the use of hormones, antibiotics or animal byproducts. Additionally, animals are fed with homemade food and live in comfortable settings, either straw bedding or grass fields. Many of the products can be purchased at the Susquehanna Growers' Market in Lewisburg or the Williamsport Outdoor Growers Market.

Over The Moon Farm specializes in pastured poultry including chicken, ducks and turkeys, eggs, grass-fed beef, and organically-fed pork. Among the livestock, ducks are the only animals that are not fed certified-organic food. Most animals roam and feed on the 26 acres of certified organic pasture and are raised in a humane manner.

Spring Bank Acres produces dairy products including bottled raw milk raw milk cheese, yogurt, cream and butter. Cows are grass-fed and the products are both chemical- and antibiotic-free.

Willow Tree Organic Farm is a certified organic farm specializing in raw milk produced by cows that are grass-fed and pastured during the season. The farm also raises pastured chicken, which is sold fresh or frozen depending on the season. In a collaborative engagement with another local organic producer, the farm also sells eggs and raw milk cheeses.

Eggs
Little Red Hen Fresh Brown Eggs produces free-range brown eggs from red sex link hens. The farm does not use hormones or antibiotics except for the general health of the hens. The hens are fed whole grains and fresh greens, including winter greens, squash and extra grains during the winter months to ensure their wellbeing. The farm sells free-range brown eggs at a self-serve egg house and, during the summer, issues eggs through a CSA program.

Cheese
Three Belle Cheese is an emerging farm that produces organic cheese using raw goat milk.

Cedar Spring Farms specializes in producing raw milk cheese from sweet, creamy milk produced by free-grazing cows. Farming practices are deemed certified organic, indicating that the business composts to improve soil conditions and allow animals to graze on the pasture. The cows that are used to produce sweet milk are primarily grass-fed and allowed to roam the pastures from April through December depending on weather. The farm treats the cows humanly and practices responsible livestock management.
