The Department of Public Safety's Mission Statement is based upon the principles of community policing. The university community must be involved in the Department's activities, to insure that it is meeting the expectations of the University. Officers will continue to interact with individuals and groups in settings that are positive and helpful, in order to keep an honest and open dialogue about safety and security issues at Bucknell University.
