Bucknell Landing scheduled to launch Sept. 30

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell Landing, a canoe and kayak launch on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River completed this summer, will officially open on Thursday, Sept. 30.
The opening ceremony is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. and will include light refreshments and basic kayak instruction.
The new launch, located behind the Bucknell facilities shop on River Road, is situated on a 4.3-acre piece of river land and offers the potential of both outdoor classroom and recreational opportunities for the campus community. || More about Bucknell Landing
