Bookstore restoration project wins industry award

LEWISBURG, Pa. — The company that completed the renovation of the historic downtown Lewisburg property that now houses the Barnes & Noble at Bucknell University bookstore has won an industry award for its work.

Zartman Construction Inc. of Northumberland, Pa., won an Associated Builder & Contractors 2010 Excellence in Construction Award, taking first place in the restoration and renovation category for the Market Street property, parts of which date to circa-1900. || More about the bookstore

"This award underscores one of the many marvelous partnerships between Bucknell and local businesses that emerged in the bookstore renovation project," said Jim Hostetler, director of construction and design at Bucknell.

The award was presented at the Central Pennsylvania chapter's awards banquet Oct. 15 in Boalsburg, Pa.
