Jessica Jackley '00 applied business principles to address global poverty when she co-founded Kiva.org, an online microfinancing company. In this July 2010 presentation in Oxford, England, she talks about the power of microloans.

Bring us your trash and we'll turn it into cash for the Bucknell Brigade! The Bucknell Brigade is a proud member of TerraCycle! TerraCycle is a fundraising site that takes all sorts of empty packages and then give money to the Bucknell Brigade in Nicaragua for the items collected. Before you throw it away, bring it to the Office of Civic Engagement in the Bertrand Library!
