Class of 2015: Not here yet, but making a mark

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell University's Class of 2015 doesn't report to campus until Aug. 19, but already many members of the University's newest class are making their mark on the world.
This occasional feature, which will appear over the spring and summer months, will point to stories about members of the new class that appear in hometown newspapers across the country.
Think of it as a quick way to meet and know a few of the estimated 940 members of the Class of 2015. || Important Class of 2015 links, including a Bucknell University Class of 2015 group at Facebook.
They're certainly in good company. Out of nearly 8,000 applications, Bucknell admitted just 2,161 of the high school seniors, the smallest number in University history, according to Rob Springall, dean of admissions. Applications for a seat in the new class were up more than 750 from a year earlier. They, too, were at their highest level since the Class of 2012 was admitted.
