- Traveling from Lewisburg
Bus and airplane are the most common and efficient transportation systems available for international students who wish to travel from Lewisburg to other regions.
- Pennsylvania Photo ID
Since it is good advice to always keep your passport in a safe place and not carry it around, you may want to consider applying for a Pennsylvania Photo ID card. - Driver's License
If you have a drivers license from your home country along with an international license or permit, you may drive in the United States for up to one year. After one year, you will need a Pennsylvania Drivers license - Social Security Number
A social security number is given to American citizens at birth and has become a form of identification. It is necessary to have a social security number to be employed on campus. To obtain a driver's license you will also need a social security number and most banks will require it as well. - Employment
Many students have found that working on campus is a great opportunity to earn extra money, get work experience, as well as enrich their personal skills. Students in F-1 and J-1 status are permitted to work on campus without authorization of the INS. - Filing U.S. Taxes
