Alejandra Roncallo joined Bucknell in 2011. Before coming to Bucknell she taught in Canada at The University of Western Ontario, Ryerson, York -Keele campus and Glendon College- and at the University of Toronto-Mississauga in a wide array of disciplines, political science, public administration, international development, geography and international studies. She has been a visiting researcher at Bolivia's Program for Strategic Research (PIEB-Programa de Investigación Estratégica de Bolivia, a guest visitor at the Centre for US-Mexican Studies of the University of California-San Diego and has worked in various research projects in the Americas.

Her teaching and research interests include an interdisciplinary approach to the IPE of the Americas, particularly the transition from the Old to the New Pax Americanas, multi-scalar governance arrangements, policy analysis, natural resources, climate change, gender, indigenous peoples, transnational law, social reproduction and human rights. At Bucknell she teaches The International Relations of Latin America in the 21st Century, The Political Economy of Natural Resources, Global Governance and Debates on Climate Change, The BRICS and Globalization. Her upcoming book is entitled The Politics of Space in the Americas: The New Pax Americana (Routledge).

Professor Roncallo has been recipient of numerous fellowships, including the Fulbright-IIE Graduate Fellowship, the Center for Latin American Studies Graduate Fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh, the American Association and International Federation of University Women International Fellowship (Washington-Geneva) and the VISA Fellowship at York University. In 2010 she was shortlisted by the Canadian Political Association amongst the top three teachers of Political Science in Canada and, at Bucknell she is also a member of the Latin American Studies Program. Professor Roncallo has a B.A. in History from the University of Buenos Aires, an M.A. in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in Political Science from York University.
