Printable Academic Fast Facts
Academic department fact sheets have been broken into editable featurettes. Each featurette covers a single topic like “Faculty” or “Career Paths”. These featurettes can be used anywhere on your site (just like any other featurette), but their main purpose is to get automatically complied into a printable summary sheet that captures all of your department’s facts in one place.
Fast Facts Link
Academic departments now have a new link in their subnavigation called “Fast Facts”. This is a "Link Component" (instead of a Page or a Featurette), and it is basically a link in the subnavigation that goes off to a printable sheet that displays all of the fast facts featurettes.
Printable Fast Facts Page
The page that compiles all of your fast facts featurettes is located at the top of a NEW folder called “[YOUR Dept. Name] Fast Facts Featurettes”.
Changing Content
To make a change to the content of your fast facts, go to the featurette that has that content. (For example, to add or delete a faculty member, go to the Faculty featurette.)
Follow the five steps you use to work on pages.
- Use the “Assign To” button to assign it to yourself
- Use the “Advance” button to advance it to "Edit Page"
- Make your edits
- Spell check and preview
- Use the “Advance” button to advance it to "Publish to website"
› For almost ALL of your fast facts featurettes, you will need to Advance the featurette to “Publish to website” BEFORE you can advance it to “Edit Page”.
Remember, featurettes can only be previewed on a page, so once you’ve made your edits and spell checked, you’ll want to PREVIEW the page that complies your fast facts featurettes. If that page looks fine in preview, you may Advance the updated featurette to “Publish to website”. You should not need to republish the page that compiles all of the featurettes.
Tip: If your advance button is grayed out, try refreshing Ingeniux by clicking on the orange recycle logo.
