T.E.A.M. Peer Mentor Application
The Bucknell University T.E.A.M. Peer Mentor Program is a year-long program for selected underrepresented students entering Bucknell University as first-year or transfer students in the fall of 2014. The program helps first-year students transition into Bucknell’s academic and social atmosphere and develop their academic skills. T.E.A.M ultimately intends to help students cultivate a passion for learning.
T.E.A.M. Peer Mentors will be trained to communicate effectively with their scholars. Throughout the year peer mentors build personal connections with first-year students by arranging individual meetings with their assigned scholars and participating in team-building activities, including interactive group events and topical discussions. The mentor program helps mentors gain experiences in leadership and service, and enriches their ability to work with diverse student populations.
